Tomato – 1 (cut the tomato into slices and boil in water till soft)
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Sliced green chillies – 5
Salt to taste
Coarse grind: Jeera(1 tbsp), Pepper(1 tbsp) and Garlic(9 pods)
Mix all the above ingredients in a pan and boil with enough water. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a separate kadai and season it with mustard, jeera, hing and few curry leaves. Once the rasam comes to a boil, switch off the stove, add the seasoning and garnish with coriander leaves.
